I had a coach a number of years ago. Her name was Margaret. When we got together on the phone she would start each session with a visualization or prayer – helping me ground myself and become totally focused on our work and letting go of everything else. One of the things she always said was, “you are way more than enough.” That statement has stayed with me through the years and I often use it when I coach my own clients. We have so much going on in our busy lives; family, relationships, finances, job and career, aging (yes, it happens to all of us!), global warming, politics, etc, etc. The list can go on and on. And sometimes we find ourselves overwhelmed and just wanting to pull the covers over our head and let the world go by without us. Or at least go by for an extra 10 minutes.

It’s those times when it just feels like too much, when you feel like you just can’t handle it all, or you don’t want to that it’s time to remind yourself of who you are and all the great things about you. We don’t all need to be CEOs or community leaders – we don’t need to be the one discovering the cure for cancer, or on our way to climbing Mt. Kilamanjaro. We make a difference in everything we do – and it’s all important. A smile you give a stranger as you pass them in the grocery store, the dollar you give to a homeless person, or the time you spend listening as your loved ones tell you about their day. It all makes a difference – you make a difference; and – “you are way more than enough!”

How does one have so many skills or perhaps we should call them interests? Is there a connection between a psychic and a web master (or in my case a “mistress)? I’ve done so many things in my life… cut hair (7th grade), taught first grade, raised two step daughters, national training manager at Apple, psychic, channel, life coach, past life regression therapist, hypnotist, and my latest “web mentor for women.” I get interested in something, learn it, have some fun, and then move on to the next thing. Is that normal?

I can’t imagine doing the same thing or having the same job for 30 or more years. It would drive me nuts. And yet, I admire people who have the “stick-to-itiveness” to stay. Maybe it’s like relationships. I’m single – been single for many years. I’d love to be in a deep and serious relationship with someone – I think it’s time. I look at some of the people I know – married for so long. Some of them, I’m not sure if they’re happy – not sure if they’re unhappy. But they stick to it. Do they stick in the relationship because it’s the thing to do? Is it that they’re afraid of the unknown? (sometimes the “known” no matter how bad it is, is better than the unknown.) And… maybe, just maybe, they are happy and love being in their relationships.

This blog for me will be my “Return to Self” journal. My life as a blog. I have numerous other blogs, websites and businesses. I choose this one to be about me… everything and anything. Follow along. Enjoy. Join the Party. Have some fun… and grow and I grow.
